aurora // A Shave Kit for Young Teens

Personal body choices are present throughout teens’ lives, one of them being choosing to shave their bodies. This can differ depending on the living situation, whether that be someone living with a single father, a teen living in foster care, or if personal care is considered taboo in several cultures. This shaving kit aims to bridge that gap by providing teens with a one-stop shop with information explaining the full process to the consumer. It has encouraging messaging and brightly colored patterns to create a safe and supportive feeling.

This kit is geared towards a more feminine audience. The floral pattern reflects a new season of change, and it’s meant to feel safe for them regardless of their background. This is open to all people but aimed at beginners. It comes with a miniature instruction manual to assist in shaving and has advice aligned more towards external/easier-to-reach places.

The products are meant to provide a complete idea of how to use them and make them readily accessible together. Being all in one box allows helps with this, and makes it easier for any consumer to buy. I wanted the packaging to include fun shapes in the patterns and within the physical designs as well.
