SAP - Graphic Design
SAP is a German global leader in the tech space, specializing in business technology for companies ranging from the local level to Fortune 500.
My time at SAP included doing different kinds of design work, mainly information design and continuing to implement the company’s new branding system into documents. A large part of my role included being able to understand business processes and resource navigation, to be able to present information in a way that was very clear to understand.
Logo Developement
Using Adobe Illustrator and SAP’s branding system, I developed two modern logos that were bold, easily recognizable, and also emphasized themes of communication, collaboration, and guidance. I collaborated with stakeholders and teammates to bring their vision to life and worked under a strict timeline.
Website Structure
Workzone is a product similar to Sharepoint, and using this, I customized and revamped a resource hub. I designed digital assets and graphics to give the website a cleaner and more appealing look. I took user experience into account to ensure the site hierarchy would be easy to understand, and that the site’s structure highlighted the resources for SAP employees.
Email Marketing
Using Illustrator to create graphics, and Canva to animate them, I designed banners for internal marketing emails. These emails included campaigns, announcing product launches, and highlighted SAP events. I gained insight into marketing tools, understanding what makes an email engaging, and worked across teams to bring an idea to reality.
Magazine Design
Using Adobe InDesign, I helped organize data and research from over 202 organizations in a way that was digestible to the audience. I determined the magazine structure, type treatment, and utilized SAP branding to make it feel cohesive. My top priority was making sure dense information was presented clearly to help maximize its impact.
Powerpoint Design
Many SAP presentations are known to be full of information, and figuring out how to condense it is a constant challenge. I was tasked with taking complex information – shown here are a product adoption process and HR research – and make it easy to follow. Pulling from my knowledge in assets, hierarchy, and image development, I created slides that are now frequently referenced in their respective businesses.
Infographic Design
After my team unveiled a new business process, I was asked to create a original infographic to explain it to c-suite executives. I developed a structure that implied different layers in the process, and referenced the tech space in the design. This allowed me to step outside of the SAP branding, and allow myself to push my creativity in a different way.
